In the 1997 Quebec City International Snow Sculpture contest, we were not prepared to represent Canada, having only heard that we were the winners one day earlier.. We struggled to come up with a design, and settled on a self portrait..A team of 3 trying to hold back time.
The clock read 5 to 9, which was 5 minutes before the allotted finishing time. The weather conditions were very challenging, -25 and windy, and as usual, we worked right through the final night, and were very pleased to win the Peoples Choice award….
