This was our piece in the National contest portion of the Quebec Carnaval in 2001. Luckily it was cold enough to hang the balls out on the jesters cap. The piece was loaded with symbols.. The turtle carrying the earth, and balanced right on top, the rabbit.
I think this was our first piece where we used coarse grit sand paper to polish the surface. We were pleased to get another Peoples choice award, one of many we received in Quebec along with 2nd Prize overall. Team Yukon won that year, with their rendition of “the Shooting of Dan Mcgrew”
