Piano
Carl and Peter teamed up with a friend from the coast, Randy Zieber, to create this piece full of chords. Sculpted at the Japan Cup snow sculpture competition in Nayoro, Japan, we were happy to receive the Public Choice prize (created by internet voting).
We were pleasantly surprised to find that the face of the piano player could be seen between each pair of ”walls” of music. The judges were impressed by Carl’s dovetail joints which enabled us to hang blocks of snow on the front edge of our main block. After the contest we had a delightful 2 or 3 days in Kyoto, visiting the temples, guided by Randy’s friend Hanna.
